This past weekend my roommate Emily and I took a roadtrip out to Washington DC to visit some friends. We had so much fun. The trip consisted of a LOT of walking and sight seeing. It was cherry blossom season and that means a lot of tourist. It was absolutely beautiful in DC. So much history and so much to see. Some of the places we went too were; the capital, smithsonians, georgetown, lincoln and jefferson memorial, the mall, white house, ford theatre, arlington, and the DC temple.
We took a tour of the capital building. Our tour guide ended up being a girl from Hurricane (Sara Last) my hometown. Such a small world. The capital is huge and so pretty. Below is a statue of Brigham Young that is in the capital building.
The Library of Congress was my favorite building in all of Washington DC. It is so pretty inside, and it is a place where I could spend hours learning :)
We did a lot of walking, and sight seeing. It was beautiful walking along the river with all the Cherry Blossoms. This is a great time of year of head back east. All in all we have a great trip. I love DC.

You lucky girl. This is why I should have stayed single longer! :) haha It looks like you had lots of fun, and were able to see some really cool things. Next time lets make it a "girl" trip.
Sounds like you guys had a blast. I didn't know Sara was out there, but it makes sense with her Dad's connections. We are heading out this May to visit my bro and his family, so hopefully we will get to have as much fun as you guys did.
